Celebrating My Three Month Book Anniversary

Three months ago today, my debut book released, and I became a published author. It was a life goal I’d worked toward for thirteen years. In the weeks since, there have been ups and downs and a lot of learning on my part. I thought I was pretty knowledgeable about writing and the industry, but I’ve discovered I have so much more to learn.

Through everything, I’ve received amazing support from my family and friends. Thank you to everyone who bought my book, especially those who don’t even read YA! I truly appreciate it. Thank you also to all the reviewers and book bloggers who took a chance on my debut. Regardless of a reviewer’s opinion on my book, each and every review has been professional and thoughtful. Thanks also to my writing friends, especially Shelly Alexander, Pintip Dunn and Brenda Drake, who have responded to all my frantic e-mails and provided great advice and support.

Finally, thanks to my agent, Carrie Pestritto, and to Melissa Montovani and Karen Grove at Entangled Teen for their continued support.
